The challenge

A global leader in the haircare industry, known for its patented bond-building technology, faced a critical business challenge: customer feedback was scattered across Sephora, Trustpilot, and numerous other online platforms. Despite the immense potential of this data, its unstructured nature required manual analysis that took weeks. Marketing and product teams lacked a unified understanding of customer sentiment, preventing them from responding to critical business questions. Shifts in satisfaction — positive or negative — went unnoticed until they impacted revenue. Without automated review analysis, segmenting customers into distinct personas (value-conscious buyers vs. salon professionals) depended solely on internal assumptions. The client had invested in Snowflake but needed a technology partner to unlock its built-in AI capabilities.

Our solution

Building on a successful prior data management engagement, JustSoftLab created a proof-of-concept AI-powered review analysis agent using Snowflake Cortex AI. The system automatically pulls customer reviews and metadata from disparate sources — Sephora, Trustpilot, and others — into a single, secure Snowflake environment. Cortex AI performs sophisticated analysis including sentiment classification, trend forecasting, and automated summarization. We built a user-friendly Streamlit interface that empowers non-technical business users to explore insights and ask questions in natural language. The platform enables automated customer segmentation by behavior, product satisfaction, and purchase patterns — turning scattered reviews into actionable business intelligence.
